A letter to my friends

Dear Friends who read what's hanging on The Refrigerator Door,

Sorry I haven't posted here in awhile. I have been posting a bit more frequently than I anticipated in The Other Refrigerator Door, my spin-off blog to this blog.

I am posting there because I have undertaken a goal of making $57 K in Michigan this year selling things in the recession. Yes, I am going to become a saleswoman.

Above is a link to the most recent story in this series. If you visit this link, you can visit the whole blog The Other Refrigerator Door, too. I invite you to click around at other posts I have made and, if you are a writer or an artist of any type, I invite you to consider joining the Open Salon Community. Yep, you can start your own blog there, too.

As you can see from the comments after my stories there, I have found it to be a very supportive community. I have learned to stay away from politics in the blogosphere -- at least taking political sides in most cases. Because the blog fighting is too brutal, not at all like the civilized Letters To the Editor on the old paper newspaper Opinions Pages. In the blog world, people fight and comment sharply.

So rather than fighting, I am just telling it like it is in my series: "Poor Journalist Gets to Business." Most of the post in the blog are related one way or another to this series.

Peace be with you! I hope you are having a blessed Lent. I have been a bit of a slacker. Since Friday I have had a nasty bug. But I am looking forward to a healthier and more balanced life in the week ahead.

One goal is to spend more time in meditation. For me, as a Catholic that means more time before he Blessed Sacrament. Whatever your tradition is, I hope you can find some time for quiet reflection during these last few weeks before spring really hits. Once spring hits, our souls just take to dancing, don't they. Not much time for quiet, peaceful reflection then.

Ahhh.... these last few cold and sometimes gray days of the year can be a real spiritual opportunity.

Peace and joy and love to you all!
